Photograph of Arthur vos Savant aka Tom EppsBorn on a small farm in the south of France, Arthur vos Savant's family was so poor they could buy only domestic champagne. Apprenticed [some say sold] to a German conceptual circus at the age of 12, he began his career imaging giant canvas portraits that enticed crowds into the side show.

His favorite among these show folk was the infamous British surgeon Dr. Cosmo Mobius, who used his skills to transform criminals into the beautiful performers who brought the show to the attention of world and, eventually, InterPol.

Forced to flee Berlin when the circus was raided, he came to New York with only a small box of computer diskettes and a naive determination to escape his past through art. There, a series of kindly and generous patrons provided him with support and shelter.

The rest is history, or rather, the future.
