"Atmospheric Perspectives" is a play on words. Atmospheric perspective, otherwise known as "aerial perspective" describes the illusion of depth where distant objects appear to be bluer and have less contrast. Although this is a concept that I utilize to simulate distance, what is meant by the title is that I strive to paint how a place feels. I try to capture the intangibles of the atmosphere and express my own perspectives of what it's like to be somewhere special. Of these nineteen paintings chosen by the Arts Council of Fairfax, some were on display in Asia, some are being shown for the first time and some are just favorites. What they all have in common is they all attempt to capture the feeling of a place.

The Mason Government Center is located in Annandale, however, through this exhibit, you will not need to travel far to experience Kyoto, Krabi, Hong Kong, St. John, New York, or need to walk down the street to experience Lake Barcroft.

By invitation from the Arts Council of Fairfax as part of their "Art in the Workplace" program, this exhibit is part of a greater program to foster creativity and innovation in the workplace. Fifteen paintings in the exhibition are located in the public access areas. Of the others, three hang in an interior hall and one in the conference room and those can be seen on request. The building is open during normal business hours, 8:30 am to 6 pm.
